Why WERK Wellness PT

Having dealt with low back pain and sciatica from overtraining in CrossFit in the past, I know how frustrating it can be to be derailed by an injury and kept from doing what you love in your chosen community. I also know that conventional physiotherapy often fails because it does not address all of the stressors contributing to a patient’s pain. At WERK Wellness, I strive to hold the space for deep and meaningful rehabilitation to occur through manual therapy, exercise, breathwork, and education, in order to get you back to doing what you love.

Growing up queer, neurodiverse, and an immigrant, I have also understood feeing “out of place.” WERK Wellness is a practice that prioritizes inclusivity so that everyone can receive physical rehabilitation in a setting that is truly accepting, non-intimidating, and unpretentious.

We take a look at the whole body. We are aware that the location of your pain is not always the cause. Not only do we improve your pain and reduce your symptoms, but we address the root cause of the issue and work to make your body more resilient in order to prevent further injuries.
